The Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System, or simply the Harmonised System (HS), is an international nomenclature harmonised internationally at the 6-digit level, developed by the World Customs Organisation (WCO) for the classification of goods. Singapore adopts the 8-digit HS Codes in the ASEAN Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN), which is based on the WCO 6-digit level HS Codes. You may use the HS code provided by your overseas supplier as a reference and determine the 8-digit HS code from the HS/CA Product Code search engine. You are also able to identify the classification of your goods by HS code, CA product code or description of your goods.
If your product falls under a HS code indicated with a corresponding CA as shown in the database, please contact the CA (Competent Authorities) for more information. The respective "Download All..." options will download all available records based on the selected option to be downloaded (and not the search criteria entered). For controlled goods please note your intended movement of the goods and the corresponding CA controlling the import, export or transhipment leg of the HS code. You may download the HS/CA Product Code to identify the corresponding product code that is under the purview of which CA. Please note for MISC product codes, do ensure you have provided the relevant supporting documents and verified with the corresponding CA that the goods is not controlled under their purview.
